Teresa Richardson, winner of the M. Elizabeth Carnegie award, is a full time student at Catholic University of America where her doctoral research is related to the prevalence of depression among African American school aged children who are any way involved in bullying- either as bullies or victims. She combines her studies with work as a Family Nurse Practitioner treating patients with mental health and substance abuse disorders. She frequently acknowledges the impact meeting and spending time with Dr. Carnegie had on her.
