Shaini Moonjeli


Shaini Moonjeli, winner of the A.J.N. SCHOLARSHIP, began her career as a staff nurse in 1994 in a rural hospital in India. Currently she is working as an Advanced Nurse Clinician in the Coronary Care Unit at Emory University Hospital and studying in the RN-MSN program at Emory Hodgson School of Nursing. Shaini sees her future role as an educator of ancillary healthcare staff and fellow professionals as well as acting as a clinical consultant and nursing researcher. Her ultimate goal is to serve the community, specifically in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions, especially among those disenfranchised and underserved. Her previous experience, both in India and in the United States have strengthened her resolve to accomplish her goals.

Nurses Educational Funds, Inc. (NEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established by nurses for nurses in 1912, and since then, the organization has awarded over 1,500 scholarships to support the pursuit of advanced degrees in nursing.
