Oralia Diaz

Oralia Diaz got her undergraduate degree in nursing in the spring of 1996. Since then she has been actively involved in non profits including the one she founded, Arte Sana, which assists Latina victims of sexual abuse and intimate partner violence. In addition to her other volunteer work, she is a nurse researcher for a diabetes program at the University of Texas where she is also pursuing her Masters degree. After graduation Oralia hopes that, as an Advanced Practice Nurse, she will be able to serve the underserved population on both a local and national level.
