Kerrie Lansing


Kerrie Lansing has been employed by the Department of Transplantation at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida as a Clinical Research Coordinator since May 2006. Prior to this, she was also involved in clinical research for the Division of Transplantation at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York. She has been focusing her nursing career in the field of solid organ transplantation since 2000 and has obtained certification as a clinical transplant coordinator. In this role she has been responsible for the conduct of clinical trials, development and maintenance of research databases, and has had the opportunity to participate in publishing and presenting research results at professional conferences.

Kerrie has been involved in the nursing profession for many years in different capacities. She had served as a nursing assistant and a licensed practical nurse prior to becoming a registered nurse. Besides transplantation, she has gained experience with geriatrics in long term care, chronic ventilator patients in a pulmonary step down unit, and pediatric nursing in an emergency room setting.

Kerrie Lansing received her BSN degree from the University of Rochester in 2006, where she graduated summa cum laude. She has been a member of many professional societies including the International Transplant Nurse's Society, National Association for Transplant Coordinators Organization, Sigma Theta Tau, and the Association for Clinical Research Professionals. She is currently enrolled in the MSN Adult Nurse Practitioner track at the University of Florida and plans to eventually pursue study at the doctorate level. Her research interests include the long term effects of immunosuppression, transplant complications, health care disparities among women and minorities, and public health concerns related to the Hepatitis C virus.
