Celestine G. Gochett


Celestine "Trudy" Gochett is currently a research nurse coordinator at the Saint Joseph Healthcare system in Lexington, KY. In this role she is focused on cardiac and oncology clinical trials. She has been a member of the research team since 2003.

Prior to becoming a research nurse coordinator, Trudy spent 15 years as an oncology nurse for several prominent hospitals, including the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, the University of Maryland Cancer Center, and the University of Chicago Hospitals. She is an Oncology Certified Nurse, an active member of the Oncology Nursing Society, and a member of the Society of Clinical Research Associates. Her desire to make a significant, positive impact on the quality of life of cancer patients led her to focus on research.

Trudy is a second year graduate student at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing. She is pursuing her Master of Nursing degree as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, focusing on Oncology. Trudy's long term goals include utilizing her education and professional training to conduct clinical and nursing research for the oncology population.

Trudy is a 1988 graduate of the Purdue University College of Nursing. Together with her husband Lucien and their three children, they make their home in Lexington, KY.
