Carolyn Terry


Carolyn L. Terry has been a Registered Nurse for 30 years and has practiced in a variety of settings. Over the last 18 years, she has provided expert care to high-risk neonates and their families a Level III NICU and in the home care setting. She is dedicated and patient-focused with proven strengths in acute and chronic neonatal patient care, staff development, and family advocacy. With an exceptional capacity to multi-task, she is able to manage numerous, often competing priorities and foster the provision of superior patient care. She is widely recognized as an excellent care provider and patient advocate. With an ability to forge, lead, and motivate; she supports an outstanding healthcare team.

Carolyn is certified as a neonatal PICC Inserter, PPD skin tester, and tester for Point of Care Competencies. She maintains the Basic Life Support (CPR/BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Protocols (NRP) certifications. She also has achieved certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing through the NCC. She is currently a member of National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN), Academy of Neonatal Nurses (ANN), and Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) - Honor Society for Nurses.

Carolyn is pursuing her Master's degree in Nursing through Stony Brook University - State University of New York's Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Program with an anticipated graduation date of June, 2008. She looks forward to providing advanced nursing care to the fragile, high-risk infants and their families through Evidenced-Based Practice and active involvement in Neonatal Nursing Practice at the national level. She looks forward to providing staff education and through her practice, positively affect the outcome of neonatal patients.
